Ford Martin Stewart was affectionately known by family, friends and the Mooresville Community as “Pike”. He owned and operated Pike’s BP at the corner of N. Broad and Moore Ave. from 1969 until his passing in 2020. Situated in the heart of downtown, Pike’s maintained the feel of yesteryear, Pike’s was the last full service station in Mooresville and the surrounding area. He also mentored young people over the years,allowing them to earn money at his station or the concession trailer located on his property, Pike and his wife, Bessie Anne, were married for 64 years and had five daughters, four grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
